Hours of Operation
Classes are held at the Kumon of Vinings on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Tuesday: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
One subject students attend class for
approximately 20 - 30 minutes. Two subject students attend class for
approximately 45 min - 1 hour.
Please keep in mind this time may vary
depending on the student’s level, age and the worksheets assigned.
It is important that students arrive on time to complete their assignment and supplemental activities for the day.
We recommend that one-subject students arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. and that two-subject students arrive no later than
6:00 p.m. Pre-school students will be asked to commit to a
specific time.
In order to maintain an atmosphere conducive to study we request that only
students enter the Kumon Room.
Tuition
Registration: $75 at time of enrollment
Math: $105 per month
Reading: $105 per month
Both subjects:$205 per month
Sibling Discount: $5 per month
The first month and the enrollment fee are due at the time of enrollment. Monthly tuition is due by the 1
st of the month. Please make check payable to "Kumon of Vinings".
A late fee of $20 will be charged for payment received after the 10
th of the current month. For any returned checks a fee of $25 will be charged
and the student fee must be paid in cash for that month.
There are no partial month payments. Please be aware that if you decide to start the
month, the tuition for the whole month is due, even if you miss part of the month.
Please note that if you intend on discontinuing Kumon study, 30 days written notice is required. Students may be absent from Kumon study for two
consecutive months without re-registering. If the student is absent for more than two months, re-registration fee will be charged and the placement test
will be re-administered.
Center Calendar
Kumon is a year-round program of study. Although, we do observe some national
holidays as well as break in summer and at the end of December, specific dates
of center closings will be posted in the parent waiting area.
Kumon home work is assigned 365 days per year unless otherwise requested at the time of registration or at least one week prior to
any adjustment request. Parents may request weekends or vacations free from Kumon study one week in advance.
Class attendance
Class attendance is a vital part of the Kumon program. Observing students at work in class, assists greatly in the
planning process for that student. We also prefer to introduce new concepts in class so we may assist your child in reaching his/her
Kumon goals.
Absence Policy
A student who, for whatever reason, does not take any Kumon materials in a given month, but who plans to resume
Kumon study within two months is considered absent. An absent student is considered discontinued after two consecutive
months of absence. If a discontinued student resumes Kumon study the suggested registration fee will be charged and
the student must take another test.
Workload
The instructor determines the number of worksheets assigned. It is important that the student be given the appropriate
level and the amount of work. Parental feedback regarding student’s work is always welcome. Please contact the center
the day before the class to discuss any adjustments or concerns regarding your child’s Kumon study plan. An adjustment to
the workload is the discretion of the instructor.
Vacations
Parents are encouraged to inform the Kumon Staff about any planned vacations
so that the student's lesson plan can be adjusted.We advise that students do not take break
from their regular Kumon routines on long trips.
Worksheets
The student returns the graded homework sheets on the class day. These worksheets become the property of the Kumon center unless
otherwise requested. On class days the students completes the work and after grading (and corrections if needed), the worksheets
are left at the center.
Communication with Parents
Regular Kumon information will be send to the parents in the child’s homework box. Progress reports will be sent every quarter.
You may request a meeting at any time to discuss your child’s progress. Please note
that meetings will not be scheduled during class time.
